There is a great improvement to our ASP (Internet) Version! Our ASP provider, Freeliant, has been acquired by a larger and stronger company. The result is like moving from a Honda to a top-end BMW.

Venture Technologies has acquired Freeliant, and the news is all good. Those staff members of Freeliant that are most acquainted with Clients are moving over to the new company. There are NO price increases. That’s the boring news.

The good news is that Venture Technologies is a company that had 50 million dollars in revenue last year. They have been in business since 1985 and shown a profit every year. Although a portion of their business was running an ASP before, they are also diversified and involved in Systems Integration. They have more than 100 employees working for them.

Security improves as their 12,000 square foot data center (about five times larger than Freeliant’s) has even better protections. There is a fenced perimeter with guardhouse and three stages to get into the server center. The 'James Bond' facility is Tier 1 rated and uses biometrics to check security. There are guards located there 24 hours a day. The center has two DS3 lines (a DS3 is the same as a T3 or a bundle of 28 T1 lines) coming in (rather than just a partial DS3) and is on two separate power grids. A battery backup and generator backup round out the power protection.

Best of all, the support also increases. It goes from extended business hours to 24 hours - 7 days a week - 365 Days a year.
