Maintenance
Regular system maintenance
is required to keep software running smoothly and performing well.
Think of it as changing the oil in a car. Without changing the oil, the
car will continue to run for awhile, but as time goes on performance will
decrease, it will run rougher and eventually it will fail. Database programs,
such as Clients for Windows, also require regularly scheduled maintenance.
Databases, ours and any other database system, that aren't maintained
will also drop off in performance, not run smoothly, and unfortunately,
eventually fail.
Don't let your system start
having problems before you do anything. Basic system maintenance is cheap
and easy insurance against future system performance problems and failure.
